Hi! I'm Andrew — a singer, guitarist, and DJ.
I perform at events of all kinds across Melbourne and Australia-wide. This is not a side hustle; music is my full-time gig and I feel incredibly lucky to call this my job. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do, so I pour everything into it. I’m always refining my craft to keep things fresh, fun, and to give you the absolute best experience possible.
When it comes to live music, I play everything from downtempo acoustic soul to high-energy party songs that you can either dance or sing along to. My repertoire includes a mix of R&B, soul/funk, pop, and classic rock – a tried and tested assortment of songs that I genuinely enjoy performing and gets the audience uplifted and engaged. I love playing songs that people know, and love connecting with listeners.
I'm not your typical 'singer/guitarist'. By utilising guitar and vocal effects, I deliver a rich, full sound that goes far beyond your standard acoustic soloist. After years of refining my gear, I’ve carefully curated my pedal arsenal: an octaver for basslines, reverb, delay, wah, vocal harmonies, distortion, and a looper... All working together to build and layer rhythm sections to create a full-band atmosphere (and to answer the question nobody asked, yes, it leaves room for some outrageous guitar solos too).
I'm an open format DJ. This means I've learned to specialise in mixing all genres, which is a unique skillset in itself. It requires creative song transition skills, quickly shifting gears when needed, a high awareness of audience engagement, and being able to cater to a wide range of musical tastes to ensure there's something for everyone on the dance floor.
When I'm not out performing, I enjoy writing and recording my original music, cooking up a feast or eating a noodle soup, and trying not to injure myself at the gym. You might catch me walking the dog around St Kilda East with my little family - my wife Monica (who runs Tonic Hair & Makeup agency, for those of you who want the best possible glow up for your event), my two boys Brodie & Jules, and my loyal Dalmatian/Border-Collie, Cookie.
